You've signed up to staff at the Art Center and cannot make it on the day you have signed up for---Don't worry, it happens!

If you have time to contact a fellow member to work for you, that's great., If you  can't, please call Marty Haynes 281 422-4223.for assistance. If two staffers are not on site to work, the Art Center will have to be closed for thaat day and, since we advertise the days and times we are open, it's important that we are open for our customers.

Tee Shirt Logo Design Contest

The Baytown Art League would like to update our current logo design that appears on all letterhead, name tags, and t shirts. All members are encouraged to submit a graphic design.

Purpose: Design a new logo design for the art League of Baytown                                                                          

Tee Shirt Information:                                                                                                                                                                 Shirt will be black                                                                                                                                                        Three options crew neck tee, v-neck tee, polo with left pocket logo      

Entries:   The design must say "Art League of Baytown" somewhere within the design                                                           You must be a member of the Art League to submit a design                                                                                   Each initial design may not have more than 3 colors                                                                                                 Tee shirts design will be on front only and left pocket                                                                                                  Remember that the design will also be used on letterhead, name tags, and any other Art League of                      Baytown items                                                                                                                                                            Each member may submit more than one design                                                                                                      Put your name and cell phone number on the back of each design                                                                            Entries should be submitted to the office and placed in the wire basket marked "T-shirt entries            

Contest Dates: April 24-May 28                                                                                                                                                    A committee comprised of Art League of Baytown members will choose the winning design which will                    then be submitted to the Board for final approval

THE BOOZE BLAST IS COMING!Booze Blast for 4th of July 
The last alcoholic beverage raffle/fundraiser "Woozy Wagon" was a big success. We are, therefore, going to try to a new spirits raffle called "Booze Blast"Susan Urban is coordinating this effort: "We have purchased a very nice rolling Igloo cooler along with a chair and umbrella for the beach. The drawing will be held on Friday, June 30th to get the winner ready for the July 4th celebration!"
 
Donations are welcome-any type of alcohol. Please bring your items to the Art Center to add to the Igloo cooler which is in the gallery ready to be filled!
 

DOLORES CORNELIUS

A memorial scholarship fund has been established in the

name of long time Art League member Dolores Cornelius.

Our dear art friend passed away recently and she will

be greatly missed.

 

If you are interested in donating to this scholarship, please come by the Art Center to contribute.

Volunteer Opportunity

The Art League of Baytown has become the official sponsor of the Shriner's Monthly Art Program at UTMB-Galveston. If you would like to volunteer, see Classes for more information 

Exxonmobil Foundation Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) Guidelines

The Art League of Baytown is considering becoming part of the Exxonmobil Foundation Volunteer Involvement Program. Being a part of this program will enable us, with a minimum of five people who are Exxon annuitants/Exxon employees/ or surviving spouses, to volunteer 20 hours for activities involving the Art Center. Exxon will pay $500.00 per project. Click on the link below for details and, if you are eligible and would like to contribute, contact the Art Cente to volunteer..

*Every Tuesday evening 5:30 to 7:30 PM is the Rising Stars Class. 

Every Friday from 10 AM to 2PM is Open Painting

*Art League Board Meetings are every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2 PM - Board and committee members      and those who have business to bring before the board are invited.

Bay Area Gourd Patch Meetings are every 3rd Saturday starting at 10 AM

*Art League General Meetings are the 3rd Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.

 Demonstrations are given by artists.  The public is invited
