THE BOOZE BLAST IS COMING!Booze Blast for 4th of July
The last alcoholic beverage raffle/fundraiser "Woozy Wagon" was a big success. We are, therefore, going to try to a new spirits raffle called "Booze Blast"Susan Urban is coordinating this effort: "We have purchased a very nice rolling Igloo cooler along with a chair and umbrella for the beach. Unfortunately the drawing date has had to be delayed from June 30th to a later date, but tickets will continue to be sold through the summer.

Donations are welcome-any type of alcohol. Please bring your items to the Art Center to add to the Igloo cooler which is in the gallery ready to be filled!

Being a part of this program will enable us, with a minimum of five people who are Exxon annuitants/Exxon employees/ or surviving spouses, to volunteer 20 hours for activities involving the Art Center. Fine Arts Society of Liberty Event

FAFSOLT (The fine Arts Society of Liberty, Texas) is hosting an arts event the evening of July 29, 2017 at St. Stephens Episcopal Churchin Liberty from 5-7pm. They are looking for artists to set up "booths" to display and sell their work. We will be having an Art League of Baytown booth at this event. But, so far, only a few people have signed up.

Everyone who volunteers to participate in this event gets to display their art for sale at the Art League of Baytown booth. And everyone who does so will work together to set up, work and tear down our display.  Setup will start prior to 5pm. All sales will go through the ALB and collect sales tax, and the League will keep 15% of all sales. All work must be family-friendly.

Everyone who confirms their participation in the Art League of Baytown booth by July 1st will also be listed in the program for this event. Sign up soon at the front desk at the Art Center.

There is also another option. They are hoping to promote as many individual artists as possible, so it is ok if you would like to get your own booth. You will need to process your own sales, have change and possible be able to take credit cards, etc.See contact information below:

To apply, please provide the following:

Artist name (if displaying work)
Artist phone number
Artist email
If artist has a work sample, please send (and understand that we may want to use their photos in promotion of this event and the Fine Arts Society of Liberty, Texas.
If known, best estimate of total number of pieces, and approximate space needed

All that will be published will be name and possibly photos of their work, to promote the event. Their name and email is only for us to have their contact information and will not be published. If photos are published on FASOLT website, Facebook page, or in any promotion, artist will be listed/credited. If an artist objects to use of a photo of their work please be sure to let us know. The goal is to promote art and help artists.

For the League's own booth space, we can print Baytown Art League in the program and list the displaying artists with notation, Baytown Art League, or, they can have their own space, whatever works best for all involved.

We aim to make this easy and happy for everyone and we look forward to meeting you! This is our first event of this kind, so we appreciate suggestions on how to improve for next time - we are all volunteers and will do our best!
